On September 5, a man delivered a public speech aboard a moving subway train in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, speaking up for ordinary workers. He criticized the mechanical repetition of daily work, cutthroat workplace competition, and excessive overtime, arguing that these conditions have left workers exhausted, numb, and passive—a state known as “alienated labor.”

The man reportedly uses the online alias “Comrade Xiao Liu.” He has previously delivered similar speeches on streets and in public places across Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Shanxi, and other regions.
