On April 13, community, substitute, and early childhood (MSY) teachers, along with retired teachers, gathered at local government offices in Zhaodong City, Zhaoyuan County, and Qitaihe City in Heilongjiang Province, as well as in Hunan Province. The protesters demanded that the authorities provide social security coverage for MSY teachers and pay long-overdue pension arrears.
