「广东林厝村民持续维权近两月，多人被捕（2026.07.19）」7月19日，广东省汕头市龙湖区外砂街道林厝村，数名参与维权的村民被警察抓走。随后，村民一度聚集在外砂派出所门口，要求当局释放被捕人员。截至7月21日，被捕村民仍未获释，村民的维权行动也仍在持续。今年5月26日起，林厝村村民发起集体行动，连续近两个月在村委会外集会、静坐，抗议当地政府擅自变更村民户口属性、违法出售村集体土地等问题。

On July 19, several villagers involved in an ongoing protest in Lincuo Village, Waisha Subdistrict, Longhu District, Shantou, Guangdong Province, were taken away by police. Villagers subsequently gathered outside the Waisha Police Station, demanding the release of those detained. As of July 21, the detained villagers had still not been released, while the villagers’ protest continued.
Since May 26, residents of Lincuo Village have been holding collective actions, including gatherings and sit-ins outside the village committee office, for nearly two consecutive months. They are protesting the local authorities’ unauthorized alteration of villagers’ household registration status and the illegal sale of collectively owned village land.
