The hospital subsequently shut off its surveillance cameras and summoned a large number of police officers to drive away family members who had come to demand answers.
On March 28, the South Campus of Suining Senior High School in Jiangsu Province organized a 10-kilometer hiking activity for students without notifying their parents. During the hike, a student named Zhang Botao collapsed from exhaustion and died alone under a tree. According to parents, no school medical staff accompanied the event, and the supervisors failed to notice Zhang Botao had collapsed and passed away even after completing the entire route. On April 3, when parents went to the school to demand an explanation, they were reportedly assaulted by police, while school officials and teachers refused to appear or provide a response.
On the evening of April 2, in Wuhan, Hubei Province, hundreds of homeowners in Baiyang Jiayuan, Hongshan District — following the earlier action in Zuoling New City — launched their own protest against excessive parking fees imposed by their property management company, tearing down the fee collection barrier.

On the evening of Thursday, April 2, hundreds of residents in Geyucheng Town, Anci District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, surrounded and blocked a Yuantong Express delivery vehicle to protest the company’s mistreatment of a local courier station operator. The station has been run by two sisters for over five years. Recently, Yuantong began pressuring the pair to voluntarily relinquish their operation through a series of coercive measures, including tenfold fines, a 40% reduction in delivery fees, and dispatching company vehicles to deliver parcels directly, bypassing the sisters’ station. As the station income is the family’s sole livelihood, the sisters’ plight quickly drew an outpouring of support from local residents, many of whom went so far as to refuse deliveries made directly by Yuantong’s own vehicles, in protest of the company’s conduct.

On March 30, in Keluoyu Village, Moga Village Committee, Baoshan Town, Xuanwei City, Qujing, Yunnan Province, government personnel were surrounded by locals after forcibly cutting down villagers’ pine trees. Subsequently, police clashed with the villagers while attempting to forcibly escort the government personnel away from the scene.
On April 1, after a student died from a fall at the Second Middle School of Zhaoji Town, Dengzhou City, Nanyang, Henan, the family members went to the Dengzhou Education Bureau to hold up banners in protest, demanding that the school and teachers be held accountable and that the truth be made public.
“Hundreds of Merchants in Kunming Rally to Protest Junfa Group’s ‘Collect First, Then Cut Rent’ Practice (2026.03.30)”
On March 30, hundreds of merchants at Junfa New Luosiwan International Trade City in Guandu District, Kunming, Yunnan, staged another collective protest, demanding that Junfa Group either refund the excess rent they had already paid based on the current 40%-discount rate, or extend their lease terms. In January 2026, Junfa Group announced a rent reduction immediately after collecting full rent payments from existing tenants — a move that sparked widespread anger among merchants, who have since launched multiple rounds of protests.
“Changshu Huaxin Workers Stage Days-Long Protest Against Covert Layoffs (2026.03.27–30)”
From March 27 to 30, dozens of workers at Changshu Huaxin Auto Parts Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu staged consecutive days of protests, demonstrating against the company’s use of covert layoffs. According to workers, following a sharp drop in orders, the company redirected what little work remained to temporary workers while forcing permanent staff onto unpaid leave — a tactic designed to pressure regular employees into resigning voluntarily, thereby allowing the company to avoid paying severance. Changshu Huaxin Auto Parts Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Ningbo Huaxiang Group. Its predecessor, Shanghai Huaxin Automotive Rubber & Plastics Products Co., Ltd., was founded in 1993. The company was re-registered in Changshu’s Shajiabang area in 2017 and began full production in 2019.
On the evening of March 30, on Tengye 2nd Road in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, a street vendor and his child sat in front of a chengguan vehicle to protest the urban management officers’ seizure of their food cart.
