On July 15, in Shenzhen, Guangdong, workers at Guanbo Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. staged a collective protest after the boss defaulted on wage payments and sold off the factory. The workers blocked the factory gates, demanding their wages be settled first. On July 14, in Teng County, Guangxi, slaughterhouse operators brought live pigs to the county government to protest against the local authorities charging a “disinfection fee” of 100 to 200 yuan per trip for pig transport trucks.
