On June 26 and 28, villagers of Changban Village in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong gathered at the village committee to protest against the demolition.

Jingsheng Garment Factory, located in Dajingtou Village, Dalang Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, has delayed three months of wages for 131 workers. The factory owner has been taken away by the police for tax evasion. On June 28, the workers went together to the Dajingtou Village Committee to demand their unpaid wages.

On June 23, more than a hundred villagers from Siliying Village in Jingxiu District, Baoding, Hebei, blocked the entrance to a government building in protest, as they had still not received resettlement housing 17 years after being relocated, and their transitional compensation had also been delayed.

On June 28, in Longgang City, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, agents blocked the sales office of Xingchuang Longgang No.1 Courtyard to protest against the developer’s failure to pay commissions.

From June 26 to 28, sanitation workers in Donglan County, Hechi, Guangxi, went on strike due to unpaid wages. As a result, garbage collection was halted, and the streets and alleys throughout Donglan County have become piled high with trash, causing a foul stench to fill the air.

From June 23 to 26, workers at Taipusen Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. in Xixian County, Xinyang, Henan Province went on strike for several consecutive days to protest the company’s practice of requiring them to clock in daily despite having no orders, in an apparent attempt to force workers to resign voluntarily.

On the night of June 26, in Xianghuaqiao, Qingpu District, Shanghai, a conflict broke out between street vendors and urban management officers who were trying to stop the vending and confiscate a food cart. During the altercation, one officer was scalded and collapsed, and the vendor was taken away by the police.

On June 27, workers at the Yishion garment factory in Dongguan, Guangdong went on strike due to extremely low wages—just over 2,000 yuan per month.

同日，在广东省卫健委维权的科兴新冠疫苗受害者“xiao青”女士也遭到了政府人员刁难，一位路过的男士为她打抱不平，与政府人员发生了争吵。据“xiao青”女士自述：2021年12月12日，她在接种完科兴疫苗第三针后的第10天首发神经系统症状，整个头左半边麻木，耳鸣，听力下降，眩晕，呕吐，发冷发抖随后住院被确诊多发性硬化Ms，医学会鉴定为不排除是预防接种异常反应。

[Shanghai & Guangdong: Sinovac COVID-19 Vaccine Victims Face Obstacles in Seeking Justice]

On June 25, at the Xuhui District Petition Bureau in Shanghai, Ms. “Suwen”, a victim of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, got into a dispute with a rude representative of Sinovac while seeking compensation. The Sinovac representative, wearing a hat and mask, mocked Ms. Suwen for wearing the same, and the negotiation made no progress that day. According to Ms. Suwen’s own account, on April 22, 2021, about two hours after receiving one dose of the Sinovac vaccine, she suffered an immune reaction that left her paralyzed long-term, brought her close to death multiple times, and forced her to undergo five surgeries over the past four years—with more major surgeries ahead. Sinovac, however, has only offered her one million yuan in compensation.

That same day, in Guangdong, another Sinovac vaccine victim, Ms. “Xiao Qing”, also faced obstruction by government personnel while petitioning at the provincial Health Commission. A passerby who witnessed the situation spoke up on her behalf and got into an argument with the officials. According to Ms. Xiao Qing, she developed neurological symptoms ten days after receiving her third dose of the Sinovac vaccine on December 12, 2021—experiencing numbness on the left side of her head, tinnitus, hearing loss, dizziness, vomiting, and chills. She was later hospitalized and diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). A medical association assessment concluded that a vaccine-related adverse reaction could not be ruled out.

On June 26, construction workers at the 2-million-kilowatt tidal flat photovoltaic demonstration project in Tianwan, Lianyungang, Jiangsu, blocked the entrance of the state-owned enterprise China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) to protest against wage arrears.
