视频中，沈爱斌拒绝开门，并隔着房门询问警方为何一早上门。警察表示，此次前来是对其进行传讯，并提到沈爱斌目前正处于取保候审期间。沈爱斌则表示自己尚未休息好，希望睡到上午九、十点后再配合，并要求现场人员不要继续影响其休息。
沈爱斌简历
沈爱斌，男，1973年10月15日出生，江苏无锡人，退伍军人、原城管系统干部、公民记者及维权人士。1991年参军，后考入军校，2002年转业进入无锡市城管系统，曾担任中队长、副大队长、法制科科长等职。公开资料显示，他自2009年前后开始为访民提供法律咨询，并关注访民遭非法拘禁及所谓“黑监狱”等问题。前线卫士将其列为中国人权捍卫者。
2013年，沈爱斌因参与营救被拘禁的访民而被捕。国际特赦组织当年曾就包括沈爱斌在内的多名维权人士被捕及其遭受刑讯逼供的指控发布紧急行动。2014年，沈爱斌以“故意毁坏财物罪”被判刑一年六个月；2017年又以“寻衅滋事罪”被判刑两年六个月；2023年第三次被判刑三年，于2025年4月30日刑满出狱，三次刑期累计七年。
2025年出狱后，沈爱斌继续申诉和参与维权活动，并再次遭到行政拘留、刑事拘留及监视居住。2026年5月30日，其强制措施由监视居住变更为取保候审。

A video submitted by a netizen on August 4 shows that at approximately 7:30 a.m. that day, police officers Wang Xiaoming and Bian Zhiqiang from the Guangyi Police Station of the Liangxi Branch of the Wuxi Public Security Bureau, accompanied by several auxiliary security personnel, arrived at the home of rights defender Shen Aibin and ordered him to report for questioning.
In the video, Shen refuses to open the door and asks the police through the closed door why they have come so early in the morning. The officers say they are there to summon him for questioning and note that he is currently out on bail pending investigation. Shen responds that he has not had enough rest and asks to sleep until nine or ten in the morning before cooperating. He also asks those outside to stop disturbing his rest.
Biography of Shen Aibin
Shen Aibin, born on October 15, 1973, is a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. He is a military veteran, former urban-management official, citizen journalist, and human rights defender. He joined the military in 1991 and later attended a military academy. In 2002, he transferred to Wuxi’s urban-management system, where he held positions including squadron leader, deputy brigade leader, and head of the legal affairs section. According to publicly available information, Shen began providing legal advice to petitioners around 2009 and drew attention to the unlawful detention of petitioners and the operation of so-called “black jails.” Front Line Defenders recognizes him as a human rights defender in China.
In 2013, Shen was arrested after taking part in the rescue of petitioners who were being detained. That year, Amnesty International issued an urgent action concerning the arrests of Shen and several other rights defenders, as well as allegations that they had been tortured. In 2014, Shen was sentenced to 18 months in prison for “intentional destruction of property.” In 2017, he was sentenced to another two years and six months for “picking quarrels and provoking trouble.” He received a third prison sentence of three years in 2023 and was released on April 30, 2025. His three prison terms amounted to a total of seven years.
After his release in 2025, Shen continued to pursue appeals and participate in rights-defence activities. He was subsequently subjected again to administrative detention, criminal detention, and residential surveillance. On May 30, 2026, the coercive measure imposed on him was changed from residential surveillance to bail pending investigation.
